Dr. Paritosh Kamdar is a highly experienced vitreoretinal surgeon based in Mumbai and works as a consultant at the Fortis All India Institute of Diabetes SL Raheja Hospital. He has received training from Dr. R. Zivojnovic in Antwerp, Belgium and is a Vitreoretinal Fellow of Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. He has extensive experience in vitreoretinal surgery and has performed many complex surgeries and retinal laser procedures. He has published numerous papers in India and internationally and is a member of several prestigious medical associations. He also serves as an Honorary Consultant to the Dutch Ophthalmic Research Centre in Holland for new instruments and surgical concepts. Dr. Kamdar has designed several microsurgery instruments for vitreous surgery, which are internationally accepted and used. He is the first Indian vitreoretinal surgeon to have a microsurgery instrument named after him – the “Kamdar curved vertical microscissors”.
